Galway Wool is exclusively sourced through the Galway Sheep Breeders Association from purebred Galway sheep. These sheep and their wool is deeply connected to the heritage of traditional Aran sweaters and Irish tweed.
With fewer than 2,000 breeding females remaining worldwide, its wool is incredibly rare and working with Galway wool means embracing a piece of textile history that is both precious and unique.
My Galway fiber was packaged carefully and arrived promptly. It is clean and fluffy---irresistable to touch. I don't know whether to spin it or keep it for therapy. I'll be back for more!

Nice medium wool
My plans for this are to dye it for use in spindling classes. I like to have at least two toned, and I like to promote less common breeds. This will do nicely.
