Suffolk wool, blended with longer staple wools, makes a wonderfully rustic addition to any spinner’s stash. This is a substantial, sturdy wool with a traditional woolly texture, especially well suited for outerwear or projects where a dense, warm and hard-wearing yarn is desired. Perfect for felting projects also.

Each braid begins with a naturally grey base—though its beautiful underlying color is really an earthy blend of grey and light brown. Overdyeing this natural shade creates wonderfully rich, dimensional color, allowing subtle variations and hints of the original wool to show through for a truly distinctive finished braid.
