Fun Facts: Bilberries are smaller and darker than blueberries, appearing to be almost black with a hint of blue. Bilberries are more intensely flavored than blueberries, but they are softer and juicier than blueberries making them difficult to transport. A low-growing shrub native to northern Europe, but is now also found in parts of North America and Asia.
